Description:

Mitchell International is looking for a Director, eBusiness Enterprise Desktop Applications Development with strong desktop and web-based (ASP) applications development experience, to lead the appraisal suite software development group and deliver some of the most exciting and advanced products in the company portfolio.

This position focuses on developing and maintaining a wide range of business applications across open systems and hardware, as well as growing a developer program. Specifically, you will be responsible for creating, enhancing, maintaining and integrating new technologies into customer facing applications as well as building a team of talented, creative engineers.

This position is best suited for candidates with software architecture in their background and experience growing and leading diverse groups consisting of in-house and offshore engineers.

Responsibilities:

Champion, lead, build and be responsible for desktop and web-based application development team of 20+ individuals.

Lead the implementation of a strategic product suite following the road map of new Microsoft .NET desktop products and applications.

Ensure execution of software development plans with focus on time delivery of milestones and in accordance with Mitchell**s software development process.

Ensure standards of high quality products, features and technology are maintained.

Ensure best practices for data integrity and software engineering are followed.

Lead the design and implementation of scalable and expendable enterprise and business software applications in adherence to architectural goals.

Lead the continual refining of the development process while collaborating other internal departments and stakeholders to build and advance the product road map.

Manage on site and offshore teams.

Make hiring and career planning decisions.

Requirements:


10-15+ years experience in developing high performance desktop and Internet (ASP) business applications.

 

3-5+ years experience at the Group Manager, Director or Program Manager level strategically managing large enterprise .NET application and systems development.

 

Strong background with Microsoft development technologies and tools environment.

 

Object-oriented design (OOD) and development experience on the .Net framework with detailed review of architectural structures, identification of architectural issues and demonstrated ability to perform analysis and make recommendations to improve architecture.

 

Experience managing multiple development projects concurrently, multiple development managers and 20+ development engineers (on-site and off-shore preferred).

 

A track record of successfully implementing desktop strategies including the selection, implementation, operation and maintenance of large-scale development over multiple hardware and software platforms.

 

Experience with large scale system design that are optimal for large scale operations, systems scaling and capacity.

 

Ability to analyze system and business processes for capability extraction and abstraction.

A proven track record of motivating and managing diverse technical staff and resources in multiple projects through all life-cycle phases, while establishing direction and standards and maintaining a high level of user trust and confidence in the group's knowledge of and concern for users' business needs.

Demonstrated commitment to customer service who has provided responsive and effective support, developed solid working relationships with customers, and delivered high quality, value-added services that met/exceeded customer expectations.

A technically strong individual with a broad and deep knowledge of software and hardware platforms, software development languages, commercially leading database management systems, storage technologies and data communications and software development life-cycles (SDLC).

Polished professional with demonstrated desktop enterprise-class software experience and strong communication skills that can rapidly gain and maintain credibility with customers, peers, and colleagues.

Innovative thinker who understands the practical application of technology and will be able to plan and develop new generation of applications that will carry the organization into the future.
