Position Summary

 

Develop, troubleshoot, maintain, and update complex client/server software applications using Microsoft .NET 2.0 framework, Microsoft Visual Basic.NET, Transact-SQL, HTML, ASP, ASP.NET, UML, and other software tools.  This programming is in support of the organization’s internal applications.  Provide technical expertise and insight to other programming staff as required.  Specific duties include (but are not limited to) the following: writing code, debugging programs, utilizing SQL in software applications, interacting with users and analysts to determine user needs, writing technical documentation as needed, and supporting other technical staff as required. Assignments typically require advanced, current knowledge of hardware, software, systems analysis techniques, and/or specialized knowledge in administrative functions or disciplines.

 

Minimal Position Requirements

 

  • Strong experience with .Net Framework 2.0, UML, and web service development.
  • Strong background in client/server software development and relational database design.
  • Background in VB.NET, C/C++, Transact SQL, VBScript, and Javascript development tools. 
  • Experience with the ODBC API as well as RDO and ADO data access methods is valuable as well as experience with Active X, Microsoft Transaction Server, ASP, ASP.NET, Com/DCOM, and Internet Information Server.
  • Knowledge of Crystal Reports Professional or other VBX and OCX controls also valuable, as well as experience with team programming.
  • Must have ability to apply knowledge of computer hardware, software, and programming skills towards the development and completion of custom software applications. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and strong communications skills. 
  • Willingness to take direction and subsequently complete projects independently. 
  • A background in medical terminology is a definite advantage.

 

Compensation:  $70K, DOE.  Excellent benefits package.
